About ZAEA

The Zimbabwe African Entrepreneurs Association (ZAEA) is a dynamic, non-political and non-sectarian organisation representing a growing community of more than 10,300 entrepreneurs, business leaders and aspiring innovators. We exist to empower Zimbabwean entrepreneurs, strengthen locally owned businesses and advance entrepreneurship as a driving force for economic empowerment, employment creation and sustainable national development.

ZAEA provides a professional platform for collaboration, mentorship, skills development, business networking and access to local, regional and international opportunities. Through workshops, exhibitions, trade linkages, market intelligence, business-support services and constructive policy engagement, we help entrepreneurs overcome challenges, expand their markets and build reputable, competitive and sustainable enterprises. Guided by integrity, courage, hard work and trust, we champion the meaningful participation of Zimbabwean entrepreneurs in every sector of the economy while supporting initiatives that positively transform communities, Zimbabwe and Africa.

Zimbabwe stands at a defining moment in its economic journey. Our nation possesses resilient people, abundant natural resources and a growing community of innovative entrepreneurs capable of transforming challenges into sustainable opportunities. At the Zimbabwe African Entrepreneurs Association (ZAEA), we believe that entrepreneurship is not merely a means of personal advancement, it is a powerful instrument for job creation, industrialisation, inclusive economic empowerment and national development. Our purpose is to create an enabling platform through which Zimbabwean entrepreneurs can connect, learn, collaborate and grow. We are committed to strengthening entrepreneurial capacity through mentorship, professional development, business networking, access to relevant information and exposure to investment, financing and market opportunities. We also advocate for policies and institutional frameworks that recognise locally owned enterprises as essential partners in shaping Zimbabwe’s economic future. While our foundation is firmly Zimbabwean, our outlook is regional and global. The African Continental Free Trade Area and the broader regional integration agenda present significant opportunities for Zimbabwean businesses to move beyond domestic markets, develop regional value chains and compete across Africa. ZAEA therefore seeks to build strategic partnerships with governments, development institutions, investors, business associations and private-sector leaders throughout the continent and beyond. In an increasingly interconnected and technology-driven global economy, competitiveness requires innovation, sound governance, ethical leadership, consistent quality and the ability to adapt. We encourage Zimbabwean entrepreneurs to build credible, resilient and internationally competitive enterprises that meet global standards while remaining responsive to the needs of their communities. Reputation, integrity and trust must remain at the heart of every sustainable business. ZAEA welcomes established business leaders, emerging entrepreneurs, young innovators, women-led enterprises, professionals, investors and strategic partners who share our commitment to building a prosperous Zimbabwe and a stronger Africa. Together, we can create enterprises that generate wealth, open markets, uplift communities and position Zimbabwean entrepreneurship as a respected force in regional and global commerce. Entrepreneurship is the future of economic empowerment and sustainable development.
